More Sleep Linked to Lower Flu Risk
Lots of people are wondering if they will somehow contract Swine Flu. Well, while sleeping more won’t guarantee a clean bill of health, there is evidence that people who sleep more than 8 hours per night are 3x less likely to get a cold or the flu.
Carnegie Mellon researchers found that lack of good sleep prevents production and regulation of key chemicals that prevent cold and flu and improve the immune system.
